Context Matters

Read the whole chapter

I cannot stand a person who is quick to say “I know a verse” 

That’s the kind of person that’ll be quick to pull the trigger 

There is a reason why the verse resides within the chapter

P.S. While writing this, I am thinking of the first time that I showed interest in the Bible as a child. I first studied the books of the Bible, I was passionate about memorizing them all. After, it felt natural to memorize a verse, two, or twelve. Following that, when I took time read a verse, then why not try to understand the whole chapter? Finally, I wanted to understand who wrote this? why did they write it? where is this being written? etc.
